About Puri
Puri is one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage seats of India and the spiritual heart of Odisha. The 12th-century Shree Jagannath Temple towers 65 metres above a town where sea breeze, temple bells and the aroma of Mahaprasad blend into a single experience. Beyond devotion, Puri offers a wide golden shoreline, India's Blue Flag certified beach, craft villages and some of the most soulful sunrises on the eastern coast.

Shree Jagannath Temple
Opens around 5:00 AM with Mangala Alati and closes near 11:30 PM. Entry only for Hindus. Mobile phones, leather items and cameras are not allowed inside — free lockers are available near the Singhadwara.
Golden Beach (Blue Flag)
India's first Blue Flag certified beach with clean changing rooms, lifeguards and evening lighting. Best for sunrise between 5:15 and 6:00 AM.
Swargadwar & Evening Aarti
The sacred shoreline stretch beside the market. Wonderful for an evening walk with street food and Odia sweets.
Narendra Tank
A vast sacred water tank where the Chandan Yatra boat festival is celebrated for 21 days each summer.
Raghurajpur Heritage Village
14 km away — every home is an artist's studio producing Pattachitra scroll painting, palm-leaf engraving and Gotipua dance.
Pipili Applique Market
On the Bhubaneswar highway, famous for vivid handcrafted applique lampshades, canopies and wall hangings.
Puri Lighthouse
Climb for a sweeping view of the coastline; usually open to visitors in the late afternoon.
