About Chilika Lake
Spread across 1,100 sq km, Chilika is a Ramsar wetland and winter home to more than a million migratory birds from Siberia, Iran and the Himalayas. It also shelters the rare Irrawaddy dolphin at Satapada, and the island shrine of Kalijai rises from its waters.
