At 915 metres in the Kandhamal hills, Daringbadi is a cool pine-and-coffee country where morning fog rolls between valleys and winter temperatures occasionally touch freezing. It is Odisha's favourite highland escape, dotted with waterfalls, tribal hamlets and turmeric plantations.
